Principal Attorney

I am an immigration attorney specializing in both employment-based and family-based immigration matters. I represent companies in a variety of industries, with a focus on start-ups, in obtaining specialty occupation and extraordinary ability non-immigrant visas for foreign nationals. My practice also includes employment-based and family-based permanent residence (green cards), naturalization, and humanitarian relief. I have successfully represented clients before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and the Immigration Court. I also handle work-site immigration compliance issues (I-9 compliance).

Rebecca received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia, School of Law where she was a member of the J.B. Moore Society for International Law as well as the Latin American Law Organization. Rebecca holds a Master of Science Degree in Development Studies from the London School of Economics. She graduated as a Rufus Choate scholar with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Comparative Literature from Dartmouth College, where she was also a member of the Varsity Equestrian Team. Rebecca is licensed to practice law in California and practices immigration law federally.

She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and currently sits on the Advisory Council for the Executive Board for the Northern California Chapter. Rebecca is also a member of the Dartmouth Lawyers’ Association. She has been an invited speaker at the Bar Association of San Francisco, The Financial Executives International San Francisco Bay Area Chapter, The Kiwi Landing Pad, Impact Hub Madrid, Fishburners, York Butter Factory, and Ispire9. She also serves as a resource for journalists related to matters of immigration policy.

Before founding her own firm, Rebecca practiced employment-based immigration law at a large global firm as well as at a boutique firm, and before that worked at a non-profit organization in Marin County. In her spare time, she provides pro bono representation to immigrant victims of crime, utilizing her Spanish fluency.

Primarily I work with start-ups, entrepreneurs, and employers. I help companies hire and transfer the best talent from around the globe to the United States. I also assist foreign investors in building and growing businesses in the U.S.
